What this is
finite.fm is a small artwork: a fictional FM band of 206 frequencies, each holding one recording that wears out over 30 days and is then gone. It is not a broadcaster, not a streaming service, and not a music library.
Listening is free, asks nothing of you, and always will. Taking one of the 206 frequencies to broadcast on is paid for once — see the terms for what that buys and what it does not. It is not a subscription and there is nothing to cancel.
Content
The recordings on the band are submitted by their broadcasters, who are responsible for what they contain. Every recording is checked automatically when it is committed, and one that fails the check is stopped before anyone hears it — a check, not a guarantee.
Anything unlawful or objectionable can be reported from the receiver itself: the Report plate on the casing opens a form already filled in with the frequency. It can also simply be written to the address above. Either way a person reads it.
Links from this site to other sites are not part of this service and are not maintained by its operator.
finite.fm is a receiver, and the band, the dial and the sound are all built in the browser. With scripts off there is nothing here to hear.
